When people ask me for tips on how to lead a healthier lifestyle, one of the most common pieces of advice that I give is to set realistic goals for yourself. I mean we’ve all made those all-or-nothing New Year’s resolutions that ended up fizzling out a few weeks later, right? Whether it be eating healthier, managing your stress better, exercising more, or spending quality time with loved ones, making one small change at a time is the best way to make those healthy habits last in the long run.
So when I heard about Prevention Magazine’s #SpreadTheHealth Healthy Habits Challenge, I decided that I was going to give it a try! I’m always striving to make positive changes in my life so I thought it would be fun to take the challenge and share my experience with you. The idea is simple: to commit to one healthy habit for a week in one of the following areas- Nourish, Connect, Move, Grow and Relax. After all, taking small steps and focusing on one goal for a week at a time will eventually add up to big results!
To find out which challenge I chose and how my week went, head on over to the Prevention site HERE. I ask you to join the Spread The Health Healthy Habits Challenge as well! Choose a new healthy habit and try it for a week. Then share your experience on social media using #SpreadTheHealth. Remember, one small change at a time can add up to big results and could make 2017 your healthiest year yet!
