Disclosure: As a Stonyfield blogger, I received free samples of Stonyfield organic yogurt to develop this post. All opinions expressed are my own.
My daughter Sienna has very interesting eating habits. Like many kids her age, one day she’ll love
something and the next day she’ll refuse to eat it. But there’s one food that’s remained a constant in her diet from the beginning- yogurt. She’s loved yogurt since she was a baby and we first introduced her to solids. If it were up to her, she would probably eat yogurt for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Needless to say, we go through a lot of yogurt in my house so I was really excited to have the opportunity to try out Stonyfield’s two newest yogurt products- Stonyfield Grassfed yogurt and Whole Milk Greek yogurt.
Stonyfield Grassfed yogurt is made from cows that graze naturally on lush grass. Did you know that the term grass-fed can be applied to any animal that obtains 30% or more of its diet from grazing? Stonyfield’s Grassfed yogurt however, is made from cows that are 100% grass-fed. It gives the yogurt a rich and unique flavor. Stonyfield Whole Milk Greek yogurt is thick, creamy, and oh so good. I found it to be slightly less tangy than most Greek yogurts because the extra fat cuts through the
tanginess. So if you’re not generally a fan of Greek yogurt, you may want to try this one out. And like all Stonyfield products, both of these new yogurts are all organic, non-GMO and made without the use of any artificial hormones.

We especially loved the Whole Milk Greek because in addition to the plain and vanilla bean flavors, it comes in several varieties that have a sidecar so that you can add as much or as little fruit as you like. It comes in blueberry, cherry, strawberry and honey flavors. In addition to allowing you to control your own sugar content, the split cup design also allows Stonyfield to keep their ingredient list very simple- just look at the label. For example, the only thing in their honey is… honey. Sienna loves to
eat the yogurt all by herself- it makes her feel like a big girl. Her eating method of choice consists of taking a bite of yogurt followed by a bite of fruit. But if you’re the impatient type, you can simply pour the topping in all at once.

I was fortunate to have the opportunity to develop some recipes for the Stonyfield website using their Whole Milk Greek yogurt. Let me just say that I had a hard time narrowing it down because once I started experimenting in the kitchen, it really got my creative juices flowing! The Whole Milk Greek works so well in a wide variety of dishes, both savory and sweet. And because it’s full fat, it adds extra creaminess and won’t separate if you’re cooking it in dishes like creamy pasta sauces or hot dips. It also gives a richer, creamier, less icy texture when used in frozen treats like frozen yogurt.
