Trim the ends off the asparagus. Toss the asparagus in a bowl with oil, salt, and pepper.
Place the asparagus in the air fryer in a single layer. Cook 6-9 minutes, until crisp tender (thinner stalks will cook faster). Shake the basket halfway through.
Arrange the asparagus on a platter. Grate some lemon zest and squeeze some lemon juice on the asparagus. Add additional toppings as desired.
