Blackened Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 lemon, quartered

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • In a large bowl, combine the paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper, onion powder, cayenne and thyme.  Add the shrimp and oil and toss to coat.  
  • Pour the shrimp out in an even layer onto a large rimmed baking sheet and cook 8-10 minutes or until internal temperature reached 145 degrees F.  
  • Remove from the oven and toss with the parsley.  Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
