- ½ cup plain 2% Greek yogurt
- 2 ripe Haas avocados, peeled and pitted
- 1 clove garlic (or ¼ teaspoon garlic powder)
- 1-2 tablespoons chopped jalapeño pepper
- 4 teaspoons lime juice
- ¼ cup cilantro
- ¼ teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
Puree all of the ingredients together in a food processor until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Transfer dip to a serving bowl. Serve with tortilla chips or vegetables like sliced cucumber, baby carrots and bell pepper strips.
- For extra creaminess and flavor, make sure your avocados are ripe.
- Adjust the amount of jalapeño to suit your preferred level of spiciness.
- This avocado yogurt dip can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours, however it may brown a little. Be sure to give it a good stir before serving.
- This dip also makes a delicious topping on grilled chicken or my salmon burgers. You can even use it as a sandwich spread.
