Ingredients

  • ½ cup plain 2% Greek yogurt
  • 2 ripe Haas avocados, peeled and pitted
  • 1 clove garlic (or ¼ teaspoon garlic powder)
  • 1-2 tablespoons chopped jalapeño pepper
  • 4 teaspoons lime juice
  • ¼ cup cilantro
  • ¼ teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Puree all of the ingredients together in a food processor until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Transfer dip to a serving bowl. Serve with tortilla chips or vegetables like sliced cucumber, baby carrots and bell pepper strips.

Notes

  • For extra creaminess and flavor, make sure your avocados are ripe.
  • Adjust the amount of jalapeño to suit your preferred level of spiciness.
  • This avocado yogurt dip can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours, however it may brown a little. Be sure to give it a good stir before serving.
  • This dip also makes a delicious topping on grilled chicken or my salmon burgers. You can even use it as a sandwich spread.
