Chocolate Date Smoothie

This delicious Chocolate Banana Date Smoothie will not only satisfy any chocolate cravings, it will also give you a boost of essential nutrients to fuel your body.

  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (can substitute any type of milk)
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 banana, frozen
  • 1 pitted Medjool date (can add more for a sweeter smoothie)
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup ice cubes (if banana is not frozen)
  • 1 tablespoon Optional: ground flaxseed or chia seeds


  • Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and serve.


Using a frozen banana will keep the smoothy cold and creamy.  If you don't have a frozen banana, add some ice cubes to the blender.
