What you'll need:

Olive oil Butter Onion Carrot Celery Thyme Bay leaf Wild rice blend Vegetable broth Dried cranberries Pecans (optional) Parsley (optional)

Step-by-step instructions

Follow my easy instructions for success!

Step 1: Cook onion, carrots, and celery in butter and oil in a saucepan. Add thyme and bay leaf.

Step 2: Add wild rice blend and stir to combine.  Toast the rice for 1-2 minutes.

Step 3: Add the broth. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer. Simmer 45 minutes until cooked.

Step 4: Turn the heat off and let rice steam for 10 more minutes. Fluff with a fork.

Step 5: Stir in dried cranberries and top with chopped pecans and fresh parsley.  Enjoy!
