Step 1: To make the topping, stir the oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt , and butter together.

Step 2: Peel the apples and slice them into 1/4-inch thick slices.

Step 3: Toss the apples in a crockpot with sugar, spices, lemon juice, cornstarch and salt.

Step 4: Sprinkle oat topping over the apples. Cover with a dish towel and then cover with the lid.

Step 5: Cook on high for 2 ½ - 3 ½ hours or low for 6-8 hours. Serve apple crisp with a scoop of ice cream.
