After the holiday season, if you’re anything like me, you’re ready to get back on track with some healthier recipes. It’s not that I don’t love the holidays but after weeks of overindulging, I’m ready to switch gears!
With our busy schedules, it can be difficult to find the time to cook nutritious and healthy meals at home. I’m always looking for tips and tricks to save time in the kitchen without sacrificing flavor or nutrition. I recently got to try out the new NutriBullet Balance nutrient extractor and it is a great time saver in the kitchen. It combines technology and ease of use to make meal prep a whole lot more efficient.
What makes the NutriBullet Balance stand out from other products is the cool technology. With its Bluetooth-enabled smart nutrition sensor, it gets rid of the guesswork with no need for recipe books or measuring cups. You simply download the NutriBullet Balance App on your phone (available on Android and iPhone). There are hundreds of easy and healthful recipes available including smoothies, soups, dips, salad dressings and desserts. Once you choose a recipe, you sync your phone with the nutrient extractor and then build your recipe, adding your ingredients as directed by the app. The sensor will actually tell you when you’ve added enough of each ingredient- no need for measuring cups. Then you simply hit the GO BLEND on your phone and you’re done! It will even calculate the nutritional information for you. It really makes a great gift for any tech savvy people in your lives!
I decided to make this delicious Creamy Cauliflower Comfort Soup using the NutriBullet Balance. Made with just five ingredients (including salt and pepper), this vegan soup is light, flavorful and so easy to make! A member of the cruciferous vegetable group (like Brussels sprouts, kale and broccoli), cauliflower is packed with powerful phytochemicals (plant-based compounds) and antioxidants that help prevent disease. It also has an impressive array of vitamins and minerals that are beneficial for your health including fiber, protein, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, B-complex vitamins, potassium, manganese and choline. The cauliflower thickens the soup so that there’s no need for cream. And because the recipe calls for almond milk, the dish is vegan.
This Creamy Cauliflower Comfort Soup is a nice, simple dish that’s perfect for the New Year. Try it for lunch or a light dinner paired with a salad. Being healthy just a whole lot easier! Check out the NutriBullet Balance HERE.
