Now that the New Year is here, are you ready to switch gears and detox with some light, healthy smoothies? Smoothies are a terrific way to incorporate lots of nutritious ingredients into your diet. Here are 10 of my favorite healthy smoothie and smoothie bowl recipes to kick off the New Year!
While I don't usually make specific resolutions, I do think that the start of the New Year is a great time to kick off some healthy habits! For me, this means being more active, working out, getting enough sleep, and cooking lots of nutritious, balanced meals at home with plenty of fruits and vegetables.
But at times it may seem hard to get enough servings in. In a recent post, I shared my Harvest Grain Bowls. Grain bowls are a great way to incorporate nutritious ingredients like vegetables, lean protein, and whole grains in one easy dish.
Smoothies are another great vehicle to incorporate essential vitamins and minerals, protein, fiber, antioxidants, and healthy fats into your diet. Whether you're looking for a filling snack, a quick breakfast or a healthy meal on the go, there's a smoothie for you!

I've been meaning to start my days with smoothies lately but it's been so darn cold that it's been kinda hard to! I'm doing em' after my evening workouts instead and it's been kindasorta working out! 😛 I love all the different smoothies you shared! (So hard to figure out what to start with!!)

I LOVE my smoothies and smoothie bowls! It's hard for me during the winter sometimes with these sub zero temps but I still crave them and usually end up eating them later in the day instead of the morning. So many great option! Love my Vitamix too, it makes the smoothest thickest smoothie bowls. Getting in more smoothie and smoothie bowls sounds like a fun and doable goal for the year!
